Somewhere between people, nature and stories.

Through my eyes

A walk through the people, light, creatures and places that made me stop. Pick a photograph up and move it around, or open it to look closer.

Imagined

Not everything here was found. Some of it was built: a print of an eye held over an eye, smoke from a brass lamp, a sanitary pad on a bed of leaves. These started as an idea rather than a moment.

A smaller world

When was the last time you watched a butterfly? The way it moves its wings, the colour and texture of them.

Stories

Some photographs came with words. Scroll slowly through these.

In the dark

Some stories are hard to look at. These are about violence against women, and the silence that follows it.

You made it this far.

There are more stories outside the frame.

Listen (ASMR)

Pick a place, then switch on the sounds you want.

Blog

Longer stories, the ones behind the photographs and the ones that never had a photograph.

A long way from a small village.

I come from one of the remotest corners of Kerala.

A place where dreams were often bigger than the roads that led out of it.

I was just a village boy, growing up with very little idea of where life might take me. There were no grand plans, no carefully designed career paths. Just a quiet belief that perhaps, if I kept moving, I might eventually find my way somewhere.

There were plenty of moments when things didn't work.

Plans failed. Opportunities slipped away. There were days when I questioned whether I was good enough, whether I was moving in the right direction, whether all the effort would actually lead anywhere.

My father once told me something simple:

“You may not know where the road goes. That doesn't mean you shouldn't walk it.”

I didn't understand how important those words would become.

Today, somehow, that journey has taken me much farther than I ever imagined — from a small village in Kerala to graduating from an IIT, and eventually to working in the corporate world in Chennai.

But I don't think the journey is about the IIT, the job, or any particular destination.

Those are simply places I happened to pass through.

What matters more to me is everything that happened in between — the people I met, the things I failed at, the things I learned, the questions that kept me curious, and the small decisions to keep going when stopping would have been easier.

So I wanted to make this little corner of the internet a collection of those things.

My photographs. Things I've built. Things I've written. Books I've loved. Ideas I'm still trying to understand. Places I've been. And perhaps a few things that don't fit neatly into any category.

It's simply a record of a life still being figured out.

I believe failure is not an interruption to life. It is part of it. Some things will work. Some won't. Some dreams will change. Some paths will lead nowhere.

That's okay.

Perhaps the important thing is to remain curious enough to begin again.

A village boy once left home wondering how far he could go.

I'm still finding out.

And I'm still trying.
